The official word from Energex for an update on the power outage on Nov 11.
Energex crews identified the problem as an underground cable fault in Aura Avenue at 7:34pm affecting 2,600 customers. Technicians said it was an “asset earth failure and not overload-related”.

A total of 2617 residences across Aura, stretching from Banya to Baringa, lost power at around 7:45pm on 11 November, and as at 9:45pm, we are still in the dark.
An Energex spokesperson told The Aura Post the issue was not due to an overload of the grid and appeared to be an underground fault.
“We don’t believe an overload to be the case, no,” the spokesperson said.
“We have crews out there trying to find the fault and, for now, we believe it to be underground.
“Residents can continue to check our outage finder for updates but we are working as fast as we can to get that restored to you.
