Police are investigating a blaze at 28 Minchinton Street Caloundra on 11 November in a semi-abandoned commercial building.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue Service (QFRS) spokesperson told The Aura Post firefighters were called to the address at 3:15pm with the upper level of the building ablaze.

“Two crews attended and the blaze was extinguished by 3:40pm, with no threat to other properties,” the spokesperson said.

“The crews did a search and nobody was found and police will continue the investigation.”

A Queensland Police spokesperson said investigations are continuing into the cause of the fire and anyone with information is urged to contact police.

The property has been owned by a private landholder for 28 years.
